Mousing About

Tuesday, I was off of work (Yay!), so I spent the day installing a new TV me Mum bought me.  And, hanging out with friends and family.  I’ve got to give props to Dr. Don, who always comes through for me.  Whenever I need a favour or help, he leaps into action without a thought.  We are mere cousins, but two of the closest cousins you will find.  In fact, we call each other brothers when referring to the other.  Brothers to the end, we are.  :)

He and his boys helped me install the enormous TV my mother purchased.  She is almost sick at the thought of me going back to Ireland.  She doesn’t want me to go, so she is doing anything within her power to get me to stay.  She believes that I’ll fall in love with some whacky Irish or Scottish lass and never return home.  I wonder why she’d think such a thing?  :)   You can’t blame her though.  I am her one and only son!

Anyhow, here are a few pics of my walk in Falls Park Monday.

  1. Hey Jeffy,
Gorgeous pics as always, congratulations on the telly, and tell your mum I’ll be happy to keep an eye on you! Just kidding but anyhow, do collect my addy & phone number. I’ll be going up to Belfast again in these next few days. I love the old foreboding city that spells so much history. It’s only a 3 hour ride by bus and perfect even for a day trip. :-)

  2. Bookshops and cafes, Jeffy… tell your mum to read my blog and she’ll see that it’s all about bookshops and cafes. Jeff, the poem on icicles yesterday was based on my street. I have written a few more on my escapades in Dublin.

  3. Suzan, I am very…very jealous! I love Belfast as much as Dublin. Dublin is a beautiful city but everyone is such a hurry. In Belfast, people actually stop and have a chat with you. And, if you are lucky enough, one or two might just tell you a magical story about years past, and then bum a few pence off of you. :) Why don’t you take the train? It is cheaper and you could meet all sorts of willy characters that you wouldn’t meet on a bus. I love trains! :) I’ll tell me Mum what you said. ;) I’ll be emailing you right away. :)

  4. Baino, you know me all too well… :)

Vanilla, thank you. I was hoping to capture the essence and fragrance of the moment, and I did in a big way! :) I’m glad you liked it.
