Ah, it is indeed that time of year again. Christmas whizzed by and left most of us with wonderful gifts, loving memories, and a hazy hangover. Today is Boxing Day, which we don’t celebrate in the states, but I think we should. After all, isn’t Boxing Day ’bout giving back? I’ll celebrate any holiday that is “Really” about giving to the needy and poor. Christmas is grand and all but too commercialised.
I’ve read all sorts of descriptions of Boxing Day online and in the Encyclopedia, but what is your input on the holiday. Do you like it or despise it and why?
P.S.: Please excuse the bloke below that is having a really bad hair day.

Boxing Day is the one after Grand Hype Day! The day when we are allowed to be lazy and close off from the world. Why won’t people let me do that on 25th?
I like the picture and the hair!
Hay Wingnut. Hope you had a good one. Boxing day is chillax day . . leftovers day . . the Christmas day you have with friends . . . It’s a public holiday here so very quiet indeed apart from the loonies who venture into the city to take advantage of the first day of the sales. Unlike this looney who is going out to the shops in a minute to take advantage of the second day of the sales! Sometimes I question my own motives! You doing selfportraits with the new 400D already! Crikey you’re keen!
Look at ‘em Dumbo ears!
Boxing Day is just a more relaxed version of Christmas Day for me. It’s re-heated veg, cold turkey and no presents. And it’s also the day before I go back to work, boo hoo!
Boxing Day is recovery day – I’m usually too worn out from all the cooking, shopping, decorating etc to do anything other than blob about.
Cute self portrait!
Hi everyone, I do apologise for not responding or visiting. I’ve had a terrible flu for two days now. It has attacked my entire family. Anyhew, I’ll do a proper response and visit as soon as I can sit up for more than five minutes without vomiting.
Thanks everyone…
