The Sun is emerging from its deep slumber.
Birds are choiring a glorious mornin’ tune,
Inviting a new day.
Beckoning a rainbow of creatures to life,
And putting to bed those with nocturnal sight.
Shifting the stern darkness to light.

Have a seat, and enjoy the scenery.
Cordial smiles, and enthusiastic eyes all around.
Life is brilliant, lustrous, and invigorating.
Wipe away the stillness of aestivate.
Awaken.
This dawning only comes once:
Revel in its picturesqueness.
The bitterness of lemons and boysenberries kiss the sky,
While the honeysuckles disturb the angelic flavours of
nature.
Wipe the old slate away.
Brisk and felicitous,
Alert and perky,
You are.
Time to run;
Get up and get primed –
Good Morning!
Lovely . . I only needed a dictionary for one word. Either my vocab is improving or you’re beginning to write poems that I can understand!
Aw, I’ve got to start throwing French words into the mix!
I wouldn’t necessarily call this a poem. It’s gibberish from my enamoured mind to yours. I’m screwing everyone’s head up now, aren’t I?
Thank you for the kind words…
