Skint’s Back!

My good friend, Skint Writer, is back in town, after a well deserved hiatus. He started a challenge, so I invite you to join in. Read below for details.

So that’s the challenge. Use some poetry or creative prose to share
something about what being a writer means to you, or if you don’t label
yourself as a writer share something of what you think defines a
writer. Put it on your blog with a link back here please.

I will say that it is quite the conundrum, to write a poem about writing, but I reveled in the challenge.

Innocent Pages

Oh beauteous innocent
pages,

how you draw me into imagings,

of nonlinear stages of
being.

Letters snaking cross constrictive lines,

gliding ,

without wavering,

across imperceptible eddies.

Irrepressible undulations,

of picturesque settings,

and eccentric characters.

These blank pages,

intersect across all ages

resurrecting clauses from the past,

and making ripples in the future.

Every stroke of pen on paper,

brings animation to the nonexistent,

and illumination to all men and women.
