It was a woodpecker!
Have you ever been blessed, by the presence of a Woodpecker? I’m an animal lover, but woodpeckers drive me crazy. Of course, they don’t start inhabiting this area, until the middle of March. Are you a hater or a lover?

I love Woodpeckers!!! I really do. Ya’ know the first couple of days of spring I look forward to because of the three little birds singing outside my window.
After the first couple of days…. I can do without the three little birds. I wanna’ sleep dammit! Be quiet!
Yes, Jeffy. In Melbourne if you live in the suburbs, you can hear them together with the laughing kookaburas. I love them. (sigh!)

We have one woodpecker that is constantly getting into mischief – usually at my expense. And he has a highly annoying laugh. Someday I’m going to kill that bird.
Brian, Susan, and Phil, thank you all for the comments. I have a lot of pine trees in my backyard, so they start pecking at the trees, around the first to middle of March.
They are exquisite animals, and perhaps very majestic!
