6 Weird Things About Me

I have my good ol’ pal, Brian, to thank for this Meme!  Be frightened people…be very afraid!

The Rules: Each
player of this game starts with the “6 weird things about you”. People
who get tagged need to write a blog of their own 6 weird things as well
as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to
be tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave a comment that
says “you are tagged” in their comments and tell them to read your blog.

Six Very Weird Things About Me!

  1. I’m blind in my left eye. Depth Perception, what is that? Yes, I managed to get a drivers license! I make up for my lack of vision, with excellent hearing, like the Six Million Dollar Man. That’s why I keep the stereo blaring, while speeding down the interstate.
  2. Every bone in my right foot has been broken. Yep, thanks to a couple of quacks and a motorcycle accident, my poor right foot has been through hell.
  3. I have Extra-sensory perception. I ponder that we all have it, but we don’t stop and listen. Perhaps that’s why I’m crazy, but only in a good way. :-)
  4. Umm…I’ve been clinically dead twice.
  5. I  do most of my writing (short stories, poetry, and the like) at night. I don’t think that such a thing is weird; in fact, I suspect a great deal of writers, write in the evenings.
  6. My grandmother’s family was a bunch of witches in Scotland, during the Middle Ages. Seriously!

I’m not going to tag
anyone, because I know most of you have already been tagged, but anybody can do
it. Thanks!

P.S.:  I wanted to do this in a short story format, but I just simply didn’t have the time.  Cheerio!

  1. The only bone I ever broke was my tailbone. Which is unfortunately also known as the coccyx. The guys in secondary school had a right old immature laugh about that.

I often prepare my blog posts the night beforehand and update them in the morning, because UCD’s computer rooms are always full in the morning.

I also find that music has an effect on what I write. If I’m listening to something upbeat, like for example, Strutter, by KISS, I’ll write upbeat, humourous posts. If I’m listening to something like Lithium by Evanescence, a pretty deep song, that’ll reflect itself in my post (though the video to that song is also quite interesting due to the hotness of Ms. Amy Lee.)

And I’ve been in contact with Brian lately – thanks for the kind offer. I’ve never been asked for my opinions on a broadcast before.

  2. Sorry to hear about your eye and foot, Jeffy.
Don’t see yourself as weird, for these thngs. :-)
They border on a slight ill-health and could have happened to anyone.
    I think you’re a wonderful person.
    Found the witches bit thrilling.
Good thing, they weren’t living in Salem, were they…? :-)

  3. Dario, I’ve also found that music can sway my mood, writing and otherwise. I swear, sometimes I believe Apple wants everyone to be depressed. Whenever I’m in a really good mood, my playlist plays the depressing music.

I, Brian, and Dr. Don would be honoured, if you would come on the show. :-) By the way, your blog is awesome! :)

Susan, thank you, but I’m a tough grit. :) And no, they were still in Scotland, during the Salem trials. :) That part of my family didn’t come to America, until 1889. Thank you, Susan. Susan, you are a marvellous person, yourself. :-)

  4. Thanks, I’d be delighted to come on your show. I’m sure Brian has been in contact with you in relation to that anyway.

And thanks for the compliment on the blog. I’ve been reading through some of your stuff, and yours is pretty cool too.

Just as an aside, you seem like a pretty heavy reader – I can get through three or four in a week – you should try the Terry Goodkind books if you’re into a more straightforward Lord Of The Rings style book.
    They kick ass.
