Mother_earth
Lately, I have been in a slump. I’ve been traversing the earth with my head
held low. You know, I’ve been a bit down
on my luck and downright bummed. I’ve
been off my trolley, so to speak. Women,
god bless them! :)

Seriously, I’ve been having a hard time
lately, but as my sister said, “You best belt up and suck it up, boy”.

So, to keep myself busy between work and
school, I’ve joined the acting guild at school. The theatre at school is doing “The Twelfth Night”, by Shakespeare. I don’t know what part I’m playing, but I’m
sure it will be just a few lines. I’m
going to talk to the Director over the programme, on Tuesday. I’m not doing it because I want an acting
career. Ha-Ha   I’m doing it to improve my verbal skills,
which is an atrocious use of the English language.

After all, I don’t want to be forever known
as the lad from
South Carolina,
just because of my oral dialect. Anyway,
what’s so wrong with improving one’s self-image and intellect? I can think of nothing better for a person to
do, than improve his or her self.

In addition, I’m joining a writer’s
workshop one night a week, so that should be fulfilling. I think that being involved in the theatre
and writing workshops will only be an asset for me in the future. Now, if I could only figure out how to
intertwine these things into my work and school, I’d have it made. I’m seriously considering changing majors,
because I’m miserable at what I’m doing, even though I make straight A’s.

The feeling that I’m trapped in a big
bubble is growing by the day. When
travelling to work, school, pub, and between, I’m in a bubble, or should I say
car or truck. When I’m at home, I’m in a
bubble. The whole world is getting more
advanced, yet at the same time, we are losing touch with Mother Earth.

I once had a Cherokee, Native American
friend that told me, “If you don’t respect Mother Earth in all her glory,
she’ll destroy you. You must be ever
vigilant to her whisper, fragrance, panorama, sweetness, and touch. Never lose sight of the earth, from which you
came”.

There’s a whole world out there folks, so I
implore you all to go outside. Yeah, go
outside, if only for a few seconds. Listen to the birds sing, feel the sun on your face, (The sun may be a
rare treat where you live, but go outside anyway.) inhale some fresh winter
air, watch little squirrels hunt for nuts, pick up a clump of dirt, and mush it
in your hands. I guarantee that if you
go outside and interact with the animals and the foliage, you’ll feel better.

Folks, I’ve got to travel. It’s in my blood. I’m simply doing all of this to keep myself
busy, until the end of May. After that,
I’m going to travel throughout the
UK and wherever else I can afford
to go. I’m single, so I might as well do
what I want, while I can, right! What say
you?

Secret Agent Man

In a fleeting attempt to hold you attention, while I study for another freaking test and finish up the Secret Agent Story that I’ve been scribbling on for a week, I give you Secret Agent Man.  This video is a compilation of some of the best moments on the show, Doctor Who.
