Another Shamelss Picture of yours truly…

Everybody else is shamelessly pulling pictures out of the closet, and knocking the years of dust off of them, so I am following suit.  :)

  1. From the pic I would say,
you look thoughtful, open to new ideas even then, maybe keen about how things worked in the way they did but you may have rejected things/people/situations you didn’t like even at that young age and not necessarily being too vocal about it. You may have been quietly decisive. Am I right?

  2. Hmm…you must really be good at reading people. I’ve always perceived things that most people would never comprehend. I keep my mouth shut most of the time, unless I have something worthy to say.

When that picture was taken, I had already been clinically dead once, and close to death countless times. I’m not a clairvoyant, but you might say I have a particular insight on the living and the dead.

Yes Susan, you are absolutely correct. :)

  3. Hi Jeff,

I think it’s not by chance that you have a particular insight but rather because as you say, you had been clinially dead, your subconscious spirit would have tasted another dimension. So when you were revived, you would have received a new knowledge – as opposed to ordinary folk – but not necessarily known to your conscious mind. In my view, your conscious mind feeds on the everyday intellect but it draws its source from the subconscious spirit which hoards the real secretive knowledge. That’s what gives you that razor-sharp insight.

I also wanted to add (just from looking at your face) that you brood sometimes but do not bear a grudge. Also that you may suddenly flare up with a temper but it dissolves easily & quickly.

I may be wrong but tell me again if I am.
By the way, I am enjoying your poems. Thanks for sharing them.

  4. Thanks for the kind remarks Susan. I do have a quick and fiery temper. It has softened over the years, but the slightest glare on the wrong day, at the wrong time, will turn me into a storming fury of epic proportions.

I normally turn the other cheek, with every word uttered or swing of hand, but when I’m under the influence of alcohol, I fight back. :) I’m an all-around courteous chap, who befriends everyone.

No, I’m not vain, just trying to tell my story, one day at a time. I’m illuminated daily by grand folks, such as yourself. I have a lot to learn, but at least I try with all of my might.

By the way, I think the reddish-blond Irish hair has something to do with the pique, or perhaps it’s the Welsh temper that I carry. :)

  5. I didn’t notice the haircolour Jeff, except that I wondered for a minute if your mum had chosen the hairstyle.
But I formed impressions of you immmediately from the expression in your eyes and your temper – the flaring up part – was easily visible in the shape of your lips.
I don’t know how to explain these things.

But I still believe you don’t hold a grudge because there wouldn’t be place in your soul to assimilate new ideas and observations and you would prefer room for those things instead of a grudge. You’ve got to tell me Jeff, if I’m right or wrong.
    I could be wrong…;)
