Southern Slang

Yall – You all…We usually use this in the form of a
question, such as, “Where did yall come from’?

Ya – You…Lazy form of you.

Whie-White…Example: “Would you like whie or whea bread.” I don’t know about this one, nor do I try to understand it.

Ain’t – Am not…Yet another shortened for of a phrase.

Dem – Them…"Let me have one of dem dar donuts wit me coffee."

Foaa – four…This is one of those crazy words that came out
of the hood.

Sup – What’s up?…

Notinn – Nothing

Bro – Brother…Example: “sup bro”.

Kul – Cool.

 

Sample Conversation

“Sup man?”

“Notin much bro, I gots to go to me nest class in foaa
minutes.?

“Kul, I’s goin to da oter class yall.”

“Take it easy bro.”

“See ya”

I will call a friend of mine, and get some more slang words
to add to the list. Believe me, there
are hundreds of southern slang words. I’m having a brain
freeze at the moment.
